My Journey and Struggles

My story began when I immigrated to Canada in 2010. Just like most of my students, I experienced frustrations and confusions as I transitioned and moved up in our current education system. However, as my age grew, I could see the same dread and frustration still persisting. I wanted to make a change, there has to be a better way! Hence, I launched “Alight Education”: an education experience that would not only meet the academic needs of students but also focus on other essential areas in learning such as time-management, personal development and emotional health.

My goal is to give students what they need on their journey to academic and personal success, so that each student will embark on the best path that’s designated for them with confidence!

  • 1 on 1 Lessons

    Every student is different!

    We offer private tutoring with 1 on 1 sessions so students can feel safe to express their learning concerns openly.

  • Unique System

    We adopted a progressive dynamic system. We support students in course work, exam preparation, and competitions. All Alight’s students receive progressive homework to supplement the curriculum to track academic goals.

  • Mentors, in Tutoring

    Learning should be fun and purposeful, but sometimes students fail to see it and become numb due to repetitive-boring practices at school. Our teachers are trained to connect concepts to application, so that the fun and purpose in learning gets reignited overtime!

  • Wholistic Support

    When academic support proves to be not adequate enough, we use a follow-up system backed by our UNIQUE emotional support and personal development service to connect tightly with parents, so we figure out the problem and find a solution to help kids grow healthily!

I stuck with Alight Education for 6 years (grade 6-12) and I can confidently say that it has helped me tremendously throughout high school…specifically Walter starts from the very basic and focuses on the intricacies of math…He never makes you feel dumb for having a question or making a mistake.
