“The story began when I (Walter) immigrated to Canada in 2010. After becoming frustrated with the lack of comprehensive academic support as I transitioned from school to school, to later; hired as a tutor by an institute but seeing how mis-handled kids were first-hand. All these experiences set a fire inside: one day I will launch a Wholistic Education Experience that would not only meet the academic needs of students, but would also focus on self-development and emotional wellness to help students eliminate ALL roadblocks to reach their max potential!”

Walter Lin
Wanting to ignite the passion in learning for the next generation, Walter started Alight Education, and is committed to give the best educational experience that both parents and kids can ever imagine.
Walter graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science. Walter has abundant (6,000 hrs+ and ongoing) teaching and mentoring experiences, and has helped many students in building confidence, establishing good learning attitudes and habits, while teaching the curriculum creatively to boost their subjects’ marks by considerable margins. His ability to connect knowledge in-classroom to real life; fun yet patient and detail-oriented teaching style, makes him an absolute favourite among students and parents. Walter specializes in teaching pre-university Math and Personal Mentoring.
